Question by Proud Mommy: What digital camera should I buy with little delay when taking the picture?

I want to purchase a nice digital camera. When you take a picture I know that there is a delay but I want as little delay as possible. I want lens options and great zoom. Can you help me?
If you have approximate prices that would be great....Thanks

If you are shooting sports, action or children running around filled with the joy of life, you will need to look at some kind of DSLR.

With a little preplanning, most of this shutter lag can be reduced when using a P&S camera if your lifestyle or budget precludes buying a DSLR
