What are the general opening times for museums in Montreal? Which days do they close early/stay open longer?

I'll be visiting Montreal for the first time next month and I'd like to manage my time as best as I can. Any recommendations for some must see museums would be appreciated also. Thanks very much!

Here is a Montreal Museums website. Each one has there own site so you can check the times. There are many more museums tho, it really depends what you are interested in.

If you are looking for art works, I recommend the Fine Arts Museum,

If you are into history, then the McCord and the Redpath are my favorites. But if you are into history you will also want to see the Museum of History & Archeology. (Point a Calliere). For the real history of Montreal, I find the most interesting thing is to take walking tours (with a guide) of Old Montreal, and the Mont Royal Cemetery.
